HEALTH EDUCATION VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IN INDIA

As a volunteer, through engaging in health education, you will be helping the rural communities to improve its health standards. Volunteers work primarily with women and children delivering health awareness education in basic first aid, sanitation and nutrition in villages of Dharamsala. To join the medical project, you need to be a pre – medical student or a qualified medical professional.

Working as a volunteer in health education equips the community with skills and knowledge that they can use to prevent diseases. You will be contributing to a healthy community, and as they say a healthy society is a prosperous community. You will travel with English speaking guides to local villages and communities to provide advice and information for women and families. We will assign a project that meets the needs of the community at the time of your arrival.

KEY POINTS FOR VOLUNTEERS:

• To join the project, you need to be a pre- medical student or a qualified medical professional. Volunteers work primarily with women and children delivering health awareness education in basic first aid, sanitation and nutrition.

• Community visits with iSpiice staff member to provide basic health awareness. Volunteer and explore a completely different culture. Prepare yourself for a country which is rich in exceptional biodiversity and has a beautiful natural environment.

• Program includes pickup & drop off from Dharamsala airport, accommodation in volunteer house, wi-fi, with 3 meals everyday (B, L, D) & much more. Volunteer for 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) & take part in incredible optional add-ons, including a Taj Mahal in Agra & much more. All details are mentioned below.
