PRIVATE TUITION VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IN INDIA

Indian education system is not same in the whole country. In the major cities, there are some high fee paying schools and children from wealthy families only can afford those schools. But, there are only few schools in the rural areas, and there are fewer teachers to give the proper education. Also, the dropout rate is higher in the countryside. Parents want an extra hand to work to get some extra money.

As a volunteer you can make a difference in these children’s lives in Dharamsala. You will meet with them on a one to one basis or in a group; help them bridge the gaps. It could be children who perhaps have problem attending school due to various issues. You will not only be helping the children to catch up with the rest of children but will also be an inspiration to them.

You can teach the English language, help them with basic mathematics and basic Computer skills. It is a rare opportunity to help children who have problems with their learning; you will inspire a child and make a difference in the society. iSpiice believes that some students require private tuition in order to reach their full potential and succeed in their lives.

• Program includes pickup & drop off from Dharamsala airport, accommodation in volunteer house, hot running showers, wi-fi, with 3 meals everyday & much more. Volunteers can take part in incredible optional add-ons, including a Taj Mahal in Agra & much more. All details are mentioned below.

AT A GLANCE

“I traveled with a group of ten students (as their University Professor) to serve with iSpiice. Upon returning to my university, my supervisor asked me for a review. I simply replied: “I have returned a different person than when I left.”

Where in India will I be working?

Currently, program available in Dharamsala location and iSpiice volunteer house is based one hour drive from Dharamsala. Dharamsala offers magnificent views of the snow covered Himalayan peaks, pine forests and tea gardens. Full of life yet also peaceful, Dharamsala offers the perfect destination for volunteer work in India. Not surprisingly, His Holiness the Dalai Lama holds residency in the area. Volunteers can explore the different monasteries and Buddhist temples. The communities we assist are set in the green valleys at the foothills of the Himalayas and many of the children are from farming communities in the area. Arriving in Dharamsala is like stepping into another world. With its remarkable natural beauty.

Volunteer Reviews

“I always wanted to go to India so when I had the opportunity to I searched for different volunteer organizations in India. iSpiice had the best options at a great price so I chose them.

I couldn’t have chosen a better organization. The staff are so accommodating and make sure you are comfortable the whole time. The weekend excursions were amazing, the food was delicious and the locals were very friendly.

Volunteering with the children was the highlight and I enjoyed the daily schedule with them. A month was way too short and I would love to go back and volunteer again one day. I recommend this organization for anyone wanting a fun, enriching experience. You won’t be disappointed.
