Teach English in India Location: Dharamsala Project Duration: 2 to 12 weeks

Project duration: 2 to 12 weeks:

The Commonwealth nation of India has a long and intertwined history with the British Empire. That is why the English language is so vital for people who want to achieve prosperity in this country. While India’s economy is booming at the moment, there are still millions of impoverished women and children who lack the essential language education they require to make something of themselves and improve their quality of life. That is why iSpiice works hard to provide support and assistance through many of our fantastic volunteering programs.

Teach English in IndiaWithout access to quality education and with a lack of infrastructure, the people of rural India have little hope of securing employment and providing for their families. The iSpiice team believes that volunteering is one of the best ways for empathetic and motivated individuals to make a difference and help to turn the situation around. Our programs last for between two and twelve weeks depending on the level of commitment our volunteers want to make. We’ll work with you to determine where your talents lie and how you can make the most significant impact on the local communities. Teaching English to children in India is a privilege, and many people discover that the activity opens their eyes and enables them to gain a fresh perspective on alternative cultures.

Anyone who chooses one of our teaching English opportunities will spend time with children at local schools and the small rural communities will welcome you with open arms. From the moment you arrive in the country, our coordinators will ensure your stay goes off without a hitch. Volunteers use our volunteer house as their base, and our team will drive you to placements every weekday. In most instances, people work for around five hours from Monday to Friday, and the weekends are free, so you have time to explore.

We need volunteers to promote the English language in India in below projects?

The English language is important.

While India is booming at the moment, millions of children still lack access to education and training. The country is trading heavily with the outside world, and the English language can become somewhat of a barrier for those who want to secure a job and earn a decent living. It is hoped the government of India will invest a lot of money in public services like schools during the next couple of decades. However, until then, iSpiice believes the best way to increase literacy levels and give people a helping hand relates to carefully planned volunteering opportunities. By teaching an Indian child to speak English, our volunteers could have a positive effect on their entire family for generations to come.

Requirements and benefits for volunteers.

The team at iSpiice believes that almost everyone has something to offer the women and children of India. That is why, unlike many other specialists, we do not require our volunteers to have specific qualifications or experience. Still, there are several requirements that you should aim to meet if you want to make the most out of your time in the country. All volunteers should be:

1)Proficient in the English Language. 2) Organised and reliable. 3)Enthusiastic and willing to learn. 4)Able to work with cultural sensitivities in mind.

The benefits for volunteers who opt for an iSpiice program in India are endless. Many people who’ve used our services in the past claim they:

1.)Develop a better understanding of India and Indian culture.

2.)Gain new teaching skills.

3.)Add to their CV or resume.

4.)See some of the most beautiful sights in the world.

5.)Build a feeling of self-worth.

Volunteering with iSpiice was excellent - I can't recommend it highly enough. I also felt like my hard work would have a significant and lasting impact on the community. Beyond this I had a great time. I cannot recommend ispiice enough. Thank you.
