Manali Adventure Weekend Tour
While at Volunteering, travel by private car (on a free weekend) with an iSpiice staff member to Manali, in Central Himachal Pradesh. The landscape here is breath taking – with super views of the well-defined snowcapped mountains, Rohtang La Mountain, the fast flowing and clear Rives Beas, fruit orchards and pine tree forests.
The area attracts all walks of life including hippie backpackers, adventure tourists and Indian honeymooners – the mixture of people adds to the fun of the area. Volunteers will do a Mountain Bike Journey down the beautiful Rohtang La Mountain – we’ll drive you to the top of the mountain and follow you down as your free-wheel past the snowy mountains, through the local villages and back to Manali. Volunteers will also do a White-Water Rafting on the River Beas in Kullu (nearby Manali). It is not only picturesque but a fun and exhilarating experience. Volunteers unwind during the 5-hour drive – taking in the lush vegetation, mountain views, rice paddies, clear stunning river and stopping for must have photos along the way. To add to the ‘mountain vibe’ volunteers will stay in comfortable Mountain Cottages, overlooking the mountains and town.
Itinerary what to expect?
- Friday afternoon depart Dharamsala by private car and enjoy the scenic drive.
- Check into a Mountain Cottage with views of Manali late Friday evening.
- Saturday morning visit to Hadimba Temple, Vashisth and Old Manali Village.
- Saturday afternoon take a Mountain Bike Journey down the beautiful Rohtang La Mountain – we’ll drive you to the top of the mountain and follow you down as your free-wheel past the snowy mountains, through the local villages and back to Manali.
- Saturday evening you will have free time to go shopping in the Indian Bazaars, eat street food and enjoy the great restaurants and bars of Manali.
- Check out of our hotel Sunday morning and head out for White Water Rafting on the River Beas in Kullu (nearby Manali). It is not only picturesque but a fun and exhilarating experience.
- Return to Dharamsala Sunday night by car.
