Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built this mausoleum in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal, his Queen and the most beloved of his three wives. Mumtaz Mahal died giving birth to their fourteenth child. The Taj Mahal is a truly awe inspiring sight that is beyond adequate description and not to be missed by anyone who is volunteering or travelling in India. After visiting the Taj Mahal enjoy free time in Agra and visit Agra Fort nearby or indulge in some last minute shopping.
